The Contemporary Ceramics Collection of the International Ceramics Studio is a major collection in European and international ceramics.
It is an important historical documentation of the first 40 years of the studio’s existence.
The ICS Collection of Contemporary Ceramics now contains around 3600 pieces of ceramic art from over 500 artists from 45 countries.
The uniqueness of this collection is all the pieces were created in the Studio, donated by invited and participating artists wishing to enrich this cultural archive of world ceramic art. The main criteria of pieces being juried into the collection is a high standard of art and aesthetically excellent quality.
One of the conditions of participating in the programme at the International Ceramics Studio is that invited artists leave some of their pieces made in the studio for the collection of the ICS.
