Rokonai, barátai, művésztársai búcsúztak szombaton Probstner Jánostól, a Nemzetközi Kerámia Stúdió alapítójától, egykori vezetőjétől.
Probstner János augusztus 27-én, életének 79. évében hunyt el Kecskeméten. Hamvait kérésére tanyája udvarán – ahogyan ő nevezte: a pusztában – kedvenc nyárfája árnyékában temették el múlt héten szűk családi körben. Barátai, tisztelői ezen a szombati megemlékezésen búcsúzhattak tőle a Nemzetközi Kerámia Stúdió előtti parkban, az általa tervezett ’56-os emlékkeresztnél.
A megemlékezést Csík János hegedűjátéka vezette be. Az egybegyűlteket Probstner Petra, Probstner János lánya köszöntötte, felidézve személyes emlékeit édesapjáról. Beszédében búcsúzott még dr. Szeberényi Gyula Tamás országgyűlési képviselő; Kerényi György lapszerkesztő, politikus, vállalkozó; Sütő Erika, a Nemzetközi Kerámia Stúdió vezetője; valamint Kecskeméti Sándor kerámiaművész. A megemlékezésen elhangzott Probstner János egyik fiatalkori rádióinterjújának részlete, melyben hitéről, meggyőződéséről vallott.
A beszédek után Szabó Sándor játszott tárogatón. A gyászolók virágokat, mécseseket helyeztek el az ’56-os szobor tövében, és a mellette felállított fényképnél is sokan lerótták kegyeletüket.
A stúdió előtti parkban tartott megemlékezés után meghitt, kötetlen együttléttel folytatódott a búcsúzás a Nemzetközi Kerámia Stúdió épületében, ahol kamaratárlat nyílt Probstner János mintegy húsz, a Stúdió által őrzött művéből, és mindenki elhelyezhette személyes emlékét egy különleges installációban.

On Saturday 24th September, 2022 relatives, friends and fellow artists gathered to say goodbye to János Probstner, the founder and former head of the International Ceramics Studio in Kecskemét.
János Probstner died in Kecskemét on 27 August, at the age of 79. At his request, his ashes were buried last week in the shade of his favourite poplar tree in the courtyard of his farm - as he called it, in the „puszta” - in a family context. His friends and admirers were able to say farewell to him at a memorial service this Saturday at the park in front of the International Ceramics Studio, at the '56 memorial cross, designed by him.
The commemoration was introduced by János Csík's violin performance. The audience was greeted by Petra Probstner, daughter of János Probstner, who recalled her personal memories of her father. In speech, Dr. Gyula Tamás Szeberényi, member of Parliament; György Kerényi, newspaper editor, politician, entrepreneur; Erika Sütő, manager of the International Ceramics Studio; and Sándor Kecskeméti, ceramic artist, also paid their respects. There was heard a János Probstner’s radio interview he gave as a young man from 1978, in which he spoke about his faith and convictions.
After the speeches, Sándor Szabó played on tárogató. The mourners laid flowers and candles at the '56 statue, and many of them paid their respects at the photograph next to it.
After the memorial service, the farewell continued with an intimate and informal gathering in the International Ceramics Studio. There was an exhibition of twenty works by János Probstner, preserved by the studio. Everyone had the opportunity to place their personal memento in a special installation.
