Aberystwyth International Ceramics Festival - KECSKEMÉT RESIDENCY AWARD

We are delighted to announce the second biennial award in conjunction with the International Ceramics Festival held every two years at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Wales. The award of a month long residency is open to all ceramic practitioners including mid-career and late adopters of ceramics wishing to work in a rich and cultural environment. Applicants must be based in the United Kingdom.

The 2017 Aberystwyth - Kecskemét Award was presented to Robert Parr during the 2017 festival. Robert Parr will be in residence here June/July, 2018. You can see Rob's work at:

Rob will be at the 2019 Festival to make a presentation and there will also be a presentation about the ICS by our International co-ordinator, Steve Mattison.

The application deadline for the next award is 30th April, 2019

Please send the completed application form together with the following . . .

  • 6 clearly labelled digital images.
  • your CV (Resumé).
  • a brief statement about what you hope to accomplish during your residency.
  • Please state which time you wish your residency period to commence and finish and wherever possible we will try to accommodate you at your chosen time.


  • The residency must be completed before December 2020.
  • The successful applicant must be available to attend the International Ceramics Festival at Aberystwyth in 2021.
